Current growing degree day accumulation for 2002.

From the Crop Update of 5/28/2002 - Dr. Terry Bates

A look at the current growing degree day accumulation for 2002. The 'zero' line represents the long term average for GDD. A positive or upward slope indicates a period of warmer the average temperatures. A negative or downward slope indicates a period of cooler than normal temperatures. The thick red line represents 2002 data and clearly shows the period of above average temperature in mid-April and the cooler than normal temperatures in May. In total, we are just slightly below normal for total GDD for this time during the season.
