Growers can purchase soil and petiole testing kits from our office by calling Linda Aures at 716-672-5296.

Petiole Testing Kits - $30.00/kit for essential elements (no nitrogen) / $35.00/kit for essential plus nitrogen
Kit includes submission form and collection bag. Cost includes shipping to Cornell for analysis, mailing of results and interpretation by viticulture extension specialist. Standard analysis package includes potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, boron and zinc. Nitrogen analysis is a few dollars extra, and should probably only be requested for samples taken at bloom, unless diagnosing a problem area.

Kit includes plastic sampling bag, shipping bag, and submission form. Cost includes shipping to Cornell for analysis, mailing of results and interpretation by viticulture extension specialist. Standard analysis package includes soil pH, percent organic matter, exchangeable acidity (for lime requirement), phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, and nitrate-nitrogen (NO3). Other analyses are available at additional cost.
