Petiole and soil test kits are available through the Lake Erie Regional Grape Program between 8:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Payment is expected at the time of purchase. Make checks payable to: Cornell University. Call for prices.

Fees are as follows for New York state growers:

Tissue tests (Petioles)
  for essential elements (no nitrogen)
$55.00/kit for essential plus nitrogen
  for soil test kits

Penn State Test Kits:  Tissue tests (Petioles)
Available through the Penn State Extension office at the Erie Co Extension office, 850 East Gore Rd., Erie PA.

  for soil test kits

Note:  Soil and petiole kits can be obtained through either the Fredonia or Erie Extension offices. One sample per 5 to 10 acre block is often sufficient, depending on variability across the field.
