Web Design and Development

The inspiration for the look, layout and functionality of the Lake Erie Regional Grape Program web site resulted from the creativity found at DSD Web Works. In addition, DSD Web Works custom built a complete user friendly content management system (CMS) which allows program staff to easily create and manipulate content. The administrative management back-end allows specialists to create informative abstracts or upload field trials, admins can upload information on new staff members, authorized personnel can add events to the events calendar or simply add an announcement. In addition, the backend helps to easily manage sponsors, event registrants and enrollees.

All content can be cross linked to multiple and relevant topics which allows for the site visitor to easily find relevant events and content.

DSD Web Works is a Cornell University authorized preferred vendor which allows them to immediately start on any Cornell University affiliated website or web application. They have worked directly with Cornell University CIT (Cornell Information Technologies) to obtain desired domain names (subdomains) and to properly configure server instances to host web sites, databases and custom web applications.

DSD Web Works is a 23 year old company that offers web development services for governments, businesses and educational institutions. Their services include web site design, custom web applications, SEO and general web consultation. Custom web applications have included seamless RETS Server integration within the Real Estate industry, custom e-commerce solutions (e.g. carhartt and outdoor clothes supplier Famous Brands), and a unique simplification of complex Wastewater Management Program for government entities (more detail on Watershed Management Program).

DSD Web Works, based in the Finger Lakes of Western New York (Penn Yan), was founded in 2001. Today they are a complete web design, web development and Internet marketing company. They strive to provide exclusive, world class web design, development and marketing services to their clients globally. Their web services range from elegant, intuitive and cutting edge website user interface (UI) designs, to complex and functional web applications including complete custom e-commerce solutions and content management solutions (CMS).

Announcements

NYWGF visits the Chautauqua Region

The New York Wine & Grape Foundation, led by Executive Director Sam Filler, is thrilled to announce their upcoming visit to your region this April!

During this visit, NWYGF will host an information session about programs affecting our industry. As you may know, NYWGF is sponsoring a Vineyard Survey aimed at gathering accurate and insightful data about grape growing in New York. If you are a grape grower or wine maker in the state, your input is crucial in shaping the future of funding and promotion for the industry. By participating in the survey, you will be contributing valuable data that will help inform decisions about the industry's future growth. We invite you to learn more about the Vineyard Survey, how you can help by providing your data, and how the results will be shared and will support the industry.

The NYWGF team will also be sharing information about our valuable membership benefits and services, as well as giving you an overview of the New York Sustainable Winegrowing Program. The New York Sustainable Winegrowing Program provides a clear pathway for vineyards to achieve certification by implementing regionally defined sustainability standards.

To make the visit even more valuable, a free lunch will be provided.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about the exciting developments happening in New York's wine and grape industry. NYWGF is thankful to our partner, American National Insurance, for making this visit possible. This public-private partnership showcases the impact that we can have when we work together towards a common goal.
